iFixit, the company that’s known for tearing down complex products, now got its hands-on with Nintendo Switch. The new gaming console from Nintendo which is now out in stores across the world.
The tear down revealed a very complex parts in the device, which included batter, heat pipe (Yes, a heat pipe), thermal paste, fan and much more.
iFixit also found out a 16Wh battery which obviously consumed a large portion of the device. While the packaging of these tech aside, the company notes that the device is easily replaceable, which is one thing which is missing in Apple devices these days.
But, there are some pitfalls as well. The screwdrivers used to get access to the internals are different than the ones that are available anywhere. Nevertheless, Nintendo Switch was rated 8/10 in its repairability.
