For a long time now ( a month IS a long time), I’ve been desperately waiting for WhatsApp to push an update to support Android Wear devices. And now it’s finally here! This new update will allow users to see the full stack of new WhatsApp messages, instead of the standard Wear notifications. You’ll also have the capability to reply to the message with voice or with a set of predefined messages such as “yes”, “lol” or even a smiley face.
The update is still not official so you won’t be able to download it from the PlayStore, but you can get it from the WhatsApp website. The update is available for all Android phones 2.1 and above, but the Wear support is only for Android 4.3 and above.
I’ve been toying around with my Samsung Galaxy Gear Live ever since Google I/O and this is definitely the most useful update yet. I can’t wait to WhatsApp inconspicuously in class tomorrow!!
