Medium is all set to launch a dedicated online publication for Music. The new age blogging platform, that lets anyone publish their views and articles, is teaming up with Jonathan Shecter, Co0founder of The Source to bring this new publication alive. Right after Medium launched to public, the company launched yet another huge section on their platform to considers itself as the magazine made for people who won’t care about magazines, called Matter.
The new hip-hop magazine will publish a variety of articles, from a variety of authors who will be working with Jonathan. The site will majorly concentrate on music album reviews and such articles, and we are expecting nothing less than a gorgeous website interface. The review of the albums will majorly come from the music critic, Robert Christgau.
But as Re/Code notes, Music review websites have been finding it really hard to find the scale. But something like the Rap Genius might as well work. On the other hand, considering Ev William’s products, we think the new publication will have a style of its own.
Talking about the new publication, Jonathan says:
There is a loyal group of people that both love music and have the desire to explore their love of that music — to read about it, to talk about it. We’ll find them.
