Ever since I got my hands on the Samsung Gear Live, I’ve been going crazy. My girly instincts of admiring tiny things have taken over! Watching this device that’s strapped onto my wrist has always been a wonder.
Up until now my smart watch was only able to display notifications and Google Now cards, with the exception of some local apps. But in the past few days interesting apps have popped up. Even games. (Watch this space for a Top 25 Android Wear apps coming soon) But most of them have been third party.
Fortunately today, Google released an update to it’s camera app which let’s you smart watch control the exact moment a picture should be snapped. And it works in a really pervasive way.
On firing up the camera app on the phone, a card appears on the smart watch almost instantaneously. Position the camera where ever you want and tap on the card displayed on the watch. This will give you a 3 second buffer time before the photo is clicked. And you even get a preview of the new photo right on your watch! Pretty neat right?
While having notifications pop up on the watch is really fun and useful, it’s integrating apps like this one which make owning a smart watch irrisistable!
