The Verge’s Co-founder, Joshua Topolsky joins Bloomberg.

If you have been reading some technology news for a while, there’s this website called The Verge, which is known for publishing quality content. Joshua Topolsky, who co-founded this blog, under Vox Media, has quit the organization to join Bloomberg news.

While some speculate that there was an internal issue that made him move, I believe that he is chasing his dream. The dream of revolutionizing the internet journalism. He has been instrumental in redefining the way people consumed technology news, and he is known for creating content that no one else have created for the tech industry.

When he left Engadget earlier, he took Nilay Patel, Paul Miller and Joanna Stern along with him to create The Verge. But now, we are not sure who will follow his lead from Vox Media to Bloomberg.

The aim that he has is pretty impressive, and with the resources that Bloomberg would provide him, I can see that he is onto something big. Talking about this new move in his career, Josh reveals:

“They have the resources and the technology. It’s an opportunity to build a 21st-century media company to scale.”

Bloomberg has been in the publishing industry for years now, but it was not known for its online presence. The company has been literally struggling to create an impact with the online consumers of news. Hiring people like Josh and other top internet change makers would give them the power to position themselves higher in the web-native journal industry.

The readers of The Verge are already reacting to this move. The EIC (Editor-in-Chief) did not leave any message on the forums or the blogpost about this move for the readers of The Verge. But then, people who follow him, will follow him.

Though Vox Media and Bloomberg are two different companies with different goals, Josh’s aim to create huge internet brands is still intact. And we wish him all the best for the future.
