Lynda.com a popular software training website is the first to jump on to the Android Wear bandwagon. Wear, which was released early this year and heavily focussed on at Google I/O has been gaining an epic momentum. At I/O this year, Google released their first smart watches running the Android Wear, the Samsung Gear Live and the LG G Watch. There’s been a slew of Wear apps (wapps), watch faces and even games since then.
Now, Lynda.com has started a course on Android Wear. Though the video lectures do not dive into development right away, we can expect it to do so very soon. For now, the course wear deals with many user activities such as setting up the Wear, pairing it to your phone, and installing apps on to it.
“ The first device using Google’s Android Wear operating system is here. The Samsung Gear Live smartwatch puts many of the features Android users have come to expect (music, calendar, and apps) right on your wrist, and it integrates with Google Now, a built-in digital assistant with voice-command functionality. This course provides a first-hand look at the Android Wear platform and the Samsung Gear Live’s features and functionality. Author Nick Brazzi explains how to best set up your Android Wear device, highlights its coolest features, and shows how it works with both native and third-party apps. “
