After another amazing event pulled off by Apple, this year’s WWDC has a lot to offer. We saw new updates for Mac and iOS, some really great integrated services, new toolkits, and even an entirely new language.
A few days ago, Apple published this teaser video on YouTube. It was earlier shown at WWDC, and now it’s available for everyone. Yosemite, the new OS X, seems to borrow a lot of the UI features from iOS 7. You can tell from the flat icons, to the transparent windows, and a whole new notification bar. Spotlight gets a big overhaul too. Since from now, whenever you press Command+Spacebar, Spotlight shows up in the middle of the screen rather than being stuck to the upper-right corner. Spotlight now has the capability to pick up snippets from the web and display it as a top hit too.
There’s a lot going on with the notification bar too. Improved alerts, widgets, tighter integration with third party applications, it looks great! A lot of these changes were reflected in iOS 8 too.
Applications like mail got a significant update. It’s so much easier to add photos, edit them and get your point across. It’s also easier to attach huge files right from the mail app too.
Here’s the teaser video of Apple’s new Yosemite.
