Twitter changed its font from Helvetica Neue font to Gotham for user profiles on Friday, moving to a sleeker and narrower look.Gotham inclines to be a popular font across the Internet and was utilized in Barack Obama’s campaign. The new logo for One World Trade Center also usees a Gotham variant. The font is the product of Hoefler & Co. (neè Hoefler & Frere-Jones), a type foundry operating out of New York City.
Starting today, we're rolling out a new font on http://t.co/zDdcbPwclU, moving from Helvetica Neue to Gotham.

The change can be found on individual profile pages, even small things like the tweet embed code are set in Gotham Narrow, though has not extended to the home feed, notifications, or discovery pages.
We primarily use the Gotham font family: elegant and direct, stylish but not exclusive. Putting well-designed words in our product enhances the user experience.
Some users aren’t happy, since everyone knows the Internet hates change. And here’s our Editor’s response:
. @twitter I know you won’t give a damn about this, but I really hate the new font! :/
