SwiftKey goes Free

The most used third party keyboard will always be SwiftKey in the Google Play Store.  Now planning its way into the iOS 8 store, SwiftKey doesn’t want to leave behind its loyal user group in the Android community. This transition has made available the Swiftkey premium App in the Play store to permanently free for everyone in the Market. That will definitely be a great news for Micromax users, as most of its models use the still old inbuilt keyboard.

When there is a good news for everyone, SwiftKey doesn’t want to leave back its loyal folks who purchased the app and made the company grow. Legacy customers will get a $5 theme ten-packs for free and the refresh also comes with a SwifKey store( with 30 themes available at launch), a number row and over 800 Emoji’s. Many of the features were offered as a part of beta, so it’s great to see them add into the final product.

Braiwood, company’s Chief Marketing Officer told,

We can now engage much more with the requests that we get and build out all this great content. This has been one of the biggest requests for the longest time: ‘I love your core technology, but I want to change this thing about the keyboard.’ Having the SwiftKey store inside of the app allows us to do that.

Behind scenes, SwiftKey has improved their prediction engine, which helps the app to learn from user’s patterns. The company also revamped its flow-trial feature, which lets users type by swiping their finger across the keyboard.
