Snapchat introduces a new feature called OurStory

Snapchat so quickly rose to it’s highest in such a small amount of time. People all over the world loved sending self-destructing images! You can’t get caught! Unless of course the person screenshots you.

Ever since then, the application has been getting some serious updates. When they introduced MyStory, it was a powerful way to put together so many moments into a story. But it was always very personalized and individual.

Today, they’re rolling out something new, called OurStory. With OurStory, “Snapchatters who are at the same event location can contribute Snaps to the same Story”. The service will be available for everyone at the Electric Daisy Carnival this weekend. Snapchat will also be providing free WiFi for users to test the new feature out.

Here’s what Snapchat tells us,

If you’re at Electric Daisy Carnival, simply add a Snap to “Our EDC Story” that appears in your “Send to…” page. You’ll need to turn on location services to let Snapchat know that you’re actually at the event. We don’t store your location.

If you can’t make it to Electric Daisy Carnival, add EDCLive on Snapchat to check out the event – live – through a series of Snaps! If Our Story gets too long or we see any Snaps that look illegal, we’ll curate EDCLive to provide the best possible experience.

You don’t have to do anything to get the new feature, it already exists as part of the application you have on your phone. Have fun Snapchatters!
