Samsung to unveil SDK for the Tizen OS-based TVs

Samsung is stepping up its preparations to establish several new products with the Tizen OS. It announced plans to introduce an SDK (software development kit) for smart TV products from next month.The launch of the beta version of the Samsung TV SDK will give developers the opportunity to have practical experience with it.

Tizen is an open source operating system, similar to Google’s Android, and is being promoted by Samsung, Intel, Huawei, KT, SK Telecom, NTT Docomo and Panasonic. Samsung has played a leading role in the development of Tizen, which has been utilized on some of its latest wearables such as its Gear smart watches.

The company has said that this version will include a feature called Smart Interaction . This will control the television through gestures made ​​with the hands and voice commands . Also have a multi-system for the receiver to synchronize with mobile or portable devices .

Last month, the U.S. newspaper The Wall Street Journal said that the Korean company was planning to release four devices with software based on Linux to promote it. In addition, the newspaper said the fortunate countries that would count with this release would Russia and India . Additionally, this same report said that one of the terminals was making the mark for these two states would be a smart TV with Tizen .

The TizenSmart TV SDK  will be available for download from the company’s online developers forum site www.samsungdforum.com starting in early July.
