The world’s largest professional network on the internet, LinkedIn has launched a job search app for iphone users in the United States. The app is the company’s sixth standalone app for users.
The app helps you to search for and filter jobs, save jobs that interest you, learn more about a company and apply for a position using the information in your LinkedIn profile and you will receive recommendations based on saved searches and jobs that you have viewed.
User will get notification when a recruiter has viewed the application or if a job is about to expire. LinkedIn Job Search app is private and not shared with your network.
In a blog post product manager Daniel Ayele states,
More than 40 percent of you are currently using mobile to look at jobs on LinkedIn. We get it. It can be hard to search for a job while you’re at your desk, not to mention the potentially awkward conversation with your current boss. Our goal is to help make this process easier for you and to help you be discreet. Everything you do within the app will be completely private and not shared with your network.
The app is only available for iphone users in the United States. An Android version is expected to launch later this year. There has been no information about the release of this app world wide. The app is now available to download from the iTunes store.
