Hugo Barra reveals Xiaomi’s plans for India

 

Xiaomi Tech, a Chinese electronics company has been gaining significant market share ever since August 2011. They are responsible for great products like the MIUI Android firmware, Mi smartphones and even tablets. It currently stands as the most used smartphone brand in China.

They now have huger plans in stores. In a recent Google+ post by former Google employee Hugo Barra, he reveals Xiaomi’s plans to enter the Indian market. Both Xiaomi And Barra confirm the launch. As you’re reading this, Barra is in the country now and meeting with MIUI Indian founder, Rohit Ghalsasi, who is currently heading the MIUI Hindi Translation team.

Were suspecting the Mi TV2 to launch in India first. It’s a 49″ Ultra HD 4K TV running the MIUI tV Android based OS. It also features a 2 GB RAM and 802.11 ac 2×2 WiFi support. It’s expected to start out with $625.
