In a recent update mail to the reservation holders of Model X, Tesla has promised them with Falcon wing doors, an all wheel drive and an option to add a third row of seating. These features were not expected to reach the production models and once again they have proved that they are none other than Tesla.
Time and again the electric car experts have made sure that they deliver more than what they have promised and the Model S is good proof for that with the rear facing seats. The Gull wing doors are what the customers were promised and there is no doubt they are getting more than just the supercool doors.
The email though does not mention as to when the cars can be shipped only that production for reservation holders starts early next year. The manufacturing front at Tesla might need some more time for full fledged production and it can be only later in 2015 that the Model X might be available for general purchase. But no time is too long for Gull wing doors.
