Google brings Google Glass to London

You heard it right. For the first time, Google is expanding the Google Glass Explorers program to London, and the program is starting today. The program is not for the general public, but its for the selected few who would like to try Google Glass, for their beta testing program, the Google Glass Explorer Program.

In the announcement, Google revealed:

Beginning today, we’re extending our open beta Explorer program to the UK. The world sees the UK as a center (actually, a centre) of innovation. It has produced some of the greatest technology inventors and inventions of the last century, and people on the ground are always excited to explore new products and ideas.

It’ll be interesting to see how many more countries participate in more of these explorer programs. Google is running an ad campaign for the same.

Google has also confirmed that the company would be selling Google Glass to the developers who are attending Google I/O which is happening this week. We will have more information on that in the next post.

Update: More information on Google opening Google Glass to everyone is here.
