GitHub was launched for Windows two years ago, and now it’s getting a much-needed update. Today, Windows users will get a more focussed and streamlined method of getting work done on GitHub.
Clutter Free UI
The UI overhaul features a distraction-less environment where the focus is completely on your work. Everything you do will be front and center, all the time.
Everything on one screen
The local repositories tab is designed in a way that it is always available in the left sidebar, and you can create, clone, and publish repositories without ever navigating to another screen.
New features adopt a lot of options available on the Web view, such as ignoring file template for your project when you create a repository. The new update seems to follow the Swift way, since you can now include emoji and gifs in your commit messages.
