Capptain is a france-based mobile analytics firm.Initially it was named “Ubikod”, providing analytics tools for developers on all famous platforms like iOS, Android,HTML5, webOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 8 ans smart TV’s. Now this firm has been acquired by Microsoft,but both the companies remain in silence about the financial details of the deal.
Microsoft wrote in a blog post,
Capptain will bring a vital new element to our end-to-end story for mobile app development – real time user and push analytics. With Capptain’s solution, organizations can analyze customer and employee behavior in real-time,and respond by pushing targeted messages, announcements, information or offers.This information empowers organizations to provide personalized, specific content to their customers in order to maximize business opportunities.
Microsoft will eventually be integrating Capptain’s technology to its Azure suite of services.
