Lava, we get the image of a mountain that flows hot and red shades of a river with black smoke and ashes everywhere. Can you even imagine a volcano flowing blue and hot? Filled with blue flames all over?
The world is filled with amazing things, and this would come up in the remarkable tab.
I know people are not gonna believe this unless there exists proof. I wouldn’t say you to go to Kawah Ijen volcano in Indonesia to check this out, but have a look at this video. Have a good look at the blue lava and the inevitable blue flames.
Guess, why the lava is Blue?
If you have paid attention to your Chemistry classes, you would know that sulphur when exposed to fire,burns violet. So,to emit this amount of blueness there has to me huge amount of sulphur deposits.
The mountain contains high concentration of pure sulphur and when this reacts with molten rocks,icy blue fire is set out. Next time when you have a trip to Indonesia never forget to check this amazing volcano.
