Disable your Mac’s iSight Camera with this Apple Script

Apple’s MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac, comes with a built-in iSight Camera. The camera that is pretty creepy to some of the users. For those who hate the camera, which is automatically turned on when you open apps like Skype or some other video calling app on your Mac.

Here’s a very simple way to disable the iSight Camera on your Mac.

Some of the methods that are mentioned elsewhere would want you delete off some files from the Library folder of your machine. Doing that might not be permanent. Everytime you restart your Mac, the settings are lost, and the deleted files would just show back up in the same folder.

But then, here’s a simple Apple Script that you can run to disable the iSight Camera from turning on automatically. This would enable and disable the camera whenever we need.

All you have to do is to just download this Apple Script, iSight Disabler for Mac from here. Once you download it, extract the ZIP file and run the script on your Mac.
