It is the first time in India that a Telecom service provider and a local search engine have joined forces, and what might be the reason? Its SME empowerment. At a recent launch in the city, Sankara Narayanan, Head Chennai and ROTN, Aircel and Jaspreet Bindra, CEO GetIt Infomedia described the latest service in the offering.
WHY THE COLLABORATION?
The are over 4.8 crore SME’s (Small and Medium Enterprises) operating across India and they contribute almost 8% to the economy. These SME’s are enterprises that usually are not able to afford huge marketing and advertising facilities. In a measure to bridge the gap between the common man and the growing enterprises Aircel and Askme have come up with a pay per lead , value added service that will prove enough advertising for the SME.
WHAT IS THE VIRTUE?
This particular service might prove helpful for all those budding entrepreneurs out there who would appreciate the much needed publicity they are in line for with the rolling out of the service. The service available for all Aircel subscribers deducts the service charges on a pay-per-lead basis. The entrepreneurs are to pay the telecom company only when they get a successful lead and not in any other situation. Any enterprise that would be interested in availing the service can enroll themselves with Aircel through just a phone call and it does not enclose any enrolling fee.
CUSTOMER PROCEEDINGS
The customers on the other hand can dial up the Askme service for information on any enterprise near their current location. The range of services provided vary from from apparel and fashion to hotels and furnishings. Whenever the customer seeks information the Askme service provides them with nearby possibilities and also directs them to the enterprise they are interested in.
