Tickets for BUILD 2014 sold out in 24 hours.

Microsoft’s annual developer conference, BUILD, is set to happen in San Francisco at the Moscone Center from April 2nd to 4th. The company opened up the registrations for the conference, yesterday, and looks like the tickets are already sold out.

The details about the next major version of Windows, the Windows 9 is expected to be out during the conference. But then, the Windows Phone 8.1 is believed to be at the limelight this year. The new version of Windows Phone will bring a Notification Center like feature, in addition to the personal assistant that would be built along with the OS.

This is not it. Microsoft is also expected to reveal some more details about the updates for Windows 8.1 during BUILD 2014. But the most exciting part from the developer community as well as from the Microsoft fanboys would be the Microsoft Surface Mini, which is expected to compete with the iPad Mini and some more tablets of that range.

While last year’s BUILD has over 6,000 developers from across the world. This year, Microsoft did not reveal the number of developers who registered for the event. May be, the company will reveal the numbers in the days to come. BUILD 2014 is expected to showcase the potential of Microsoft as both Software and Hardware (via Nokia) maker.
