Qualcomm to release Toq Smartwatch on December 2nd.

Qualcomm has always been a company that produces components that power a lot of smartphones and other consumer electronics. But starting December 2nd, the face is the company is all set to change.

The company has announced that their first smartwatch, Toq, is all set to be release on December 2nd. The Toq Smartwatch comes with some compelling features like wireless charging, Mirasol Display and a Stereo Bluetooth audio out. The company claims that the smartwatch is very powerful and to start off, only limited devices will be available to the customers.

Here’s a demo video from Qualcomm on Toq:

The only pain point for the customer would be the price tag the device carries. The Toq would burn $350 from your pocket and this is pretty expensive when compared to other wearable devices in the market. Though there are some smartwatches coming out in the market, and the competition is seemingly increasing, there is not much of a revolution that has happened yet.

The smartwatches which we witness right now are just like the early stages of the markets like the iPod and iPad. Where things are moving just slowly. The smartwatches are not having a compelling reason for the users to buy them.
