Pebble Smartwatch’s CEO, Eric Migicovsky revealed that the device has a number of hidden functionalities and is also betting big on the developers during the Engadget Expand, today at New York.
With over 190,000 wrists wearing Pebble around the world, the company’s CEO is betting big on the developers and he also gave a quick insight about how the ecosystem would grow in near future. Talking about the apps for the ecosystem, Pebble promises that there are a lot of apps that are waiting in line. The company has scaled from just 11 to 40 right now, in a very little time span and is currently working on the second version of Pebble.
Migicovsky revealed that the device already has a lot of hidden features, which the company will unlock in the updates to come. He also spoke about the company’s focus for the past few years:
“We decided to put most of our effort into the framework and underlying structure that’ll let other people build apps on top of it.”
It’s been just a few days since the new Pebble SDK 2.0 was released, and looks like the SDK is getting a lot of traction among the developers.
