Did Google just reveal the Nexus 8 tablet with a 8-inch screen and thinner bezel?

Android KitKat was out last week, and Google has been updating its websites with promotional materials which involves Android KitKat. In one such website, Google used the image above to showcase the power of Google Play Store with a tablet which we’re not aware of. Yet.

While the Nexus 5 was accidentally revealed in a promotional video of Android earlier, this time, it might be the Nexus 8, the tablet device which runs Android KitKat and sports a 8-inch screen which got unveiled in this new Android.com’s Google Play section. This might be the hint from Google about the next version of tablet.

The image shows a woman holding the tablet with Google Play open in it. The bezel is the most distinctive change that’s visible in the image. The bezel looks small when compared to the current generation Nexus tablet that Google ships. While some might consider this fake, Google has not been using a fake device before for its promotional materials.

Honest prediction from me: The tablet in the picture is posing as a fake and is really a prototype of the Nexus 8 slated for a next summer launch and it looks like it might be from HP.
