Eric Schmidt writes a guide for ‘Converting to Android from iPhone’

Google’s Chairman, Eric Schmidt has published a guide on his Google+ page to help the iPhone users convert to Android, explaining the advantages of switching to the platform and also highlighting the powerful devices that are available for Android.

While he did not stop with that. Schmidt continued to highlight some of the facts that would let the users move away from iPhone and also shared some tips and best practices for abandoning iOS and its devices. Schmidt also points out that many of his friends have moved onto Android from iPhone, but with no further data about it.

This 900-word guide from the Chairman highlights some important how-to points like adding your Google account to the device, importing contacts, syncing their music (which is such a pain in Android devices) and also swapping their SIM cards from iPhone to Android devices.

Well, Schmidt did not stop with that alone. He also adds a line in his post telling that people should use Chrome instead of Safari. This is kind of new, for a person of such stature to post guides like this. But in some ways, these guides are a bit healthy for the ecosystem that Mr. Schmidt is supporting.
