After a series of leaks for both Nexus 5 and Android KitKat, Google today announced the next generation Nexus device from Google and LG at an event in San Francisco.
If you have been following up with the leaks that Nexus 5 had earlier, you would have nothing new here. But for those who haven’t seen the leaks, the Nexus 5 comes with a Snapdragon 800 processor and just weighs 4.59 oz. The 5-inch smartphone running Android KitKat, the next generation of Android is being sold at $349 for the 16GB ones with contract with AT&T.
Google has improved so much on the software that runs inside the Nexus 5. The device will now feature some advanced photo stabilization features like HDR+, which takes multiple shots quickly, and stitches them together to bring the best picture on screen.
While the hardware might not be the most exciting part here, Android 4.4 is definitely worth looking at. The new operating system will feature advanced Google Now features and the company has decided to put the OK Google feature onto the Nexus 5.
There’s a design change with Nexus 5. The device now comes with a matte finish body, instead of the glass finished rear panel. With Nexus 5, Google and LG are trying to get rid of the boring cables that are being used to charge the phone.
