BlackBerry announces Ads on BBM for Android and iOS

BlackBerry has confirmed that the company will be bringing ads to its BBM app for Android and iOS, along with loads of new features.

BlackBerry tasted success with the launch of its new BBM for iOS and Android, and the company, which is completely down with regards to its revenue, is now making up its mind to bring ads and make some revenue with its success with BBM for other platforms.

BlackBerry launched the much awaited BBM for iOS and Android earlier this month, and the company has been getting some mixed response for the app from its users. Interestingly, BBM for iOS is still at the second spot at the iOS App Store in the United States, and the app has been reportedly doing well in Android as well.

The company has also announced that the service will be free, and users will not have to pay to use the service. Adding to this, looks like the company also has a few other ideas to monetize the app on the mobile devices that are successful in the market.

There’s also another report that says that the company is also bringing Audio and Video chat to Android and iOS in near future.
