YouTube comments to be powered by Google+; moderate, filter and limit

For avid YouTube users, comments have always been of prime interest. But most of the time they’re filled with junk or trolls. As a response to this, YouTube comments will be powered by Google+ later this year. Channel discussion comments are already moderated by this restriction, and it will move on to other videos soon.

This gives video producers and users an edge over privacy and security. It obviously means the fake name issue is resolved, because god knows how many times you’ve been trolled by an unknown person on the internet.

The comments can also be sorted according to relevance, meaning the comments from people you know get filtered to the top.

Each comment can also have a privacy setting, according to which you can limit it’s audience, either to a single person, a particular circle, or the general public.

With all these changes, it becomes easier for you to have a private conversation between the people you want on a YouTube video.

Maybe they’ll extend this to videos as well. Having an audience limitation to the videos you upload could give uploaders more power.

It’s easier than ever to stalk the love of your life! You did it on Facebook, now you can do it on YouTube too!
