eBay has been fairly successful with its eBay Now program in New York and San Francisco, which offers same-day delivery. And now, the company is bringing the eBay Now service to London, which marks the first international launch.
The announcement came from eBay in the form of press release, which was published on Tuesday, which revealed some information about how the company would be delivering the products to their customers. eBay has partnered with Argos, a UK-based retailer.
eBay and Argos will now work together to bring the Click and Collect program to about 150 locations throughout the United Kingdom. This new move will allow the customers to purchase products from eBay and pick them up at their nearest Agros outlet. The program will be running on a test for a few months starting 2014 in the UK, and the company is expected to expand the eBay Now to even more retailers in the UK.
This is a pretty huge move for both eBay and its UK customers. eBay, is known for trying out a variety of such delivery options in the past, and eBay Now is one of the coolest service from the company, and some of our friends in New York and San Francisco have been giving us really good reviews about the service.
eBay’s mobile apps for iOS and Android will also allow the users to take advantage of the eBay Now, and the shipping charges in the US is $5. But eBay has not revealed any information about the shipping charges for eBay Now in the UK.
