After a lot of speculation about the plastic iPhone from Apple, the company confirmed that they were working on an iPhone which is made of plastic, and the device is called iPhone 5c.
Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, unveiled the iPhone 5c, which is made of plastic and comes in five different colors, which Phil noted that only Apple can make.
The device carried the same specification as that of the iPhone 5, and there are some minor improvements to the devices’ internal structure and performance. The device is made of a polycarbonate plastic, which covers the back and the sides of the device, without even a single visible line in it. Apple has used all the technologies and learning which they had with their previous iPhones and they’ve ported it to this device successfully.
The iPhone 5c comes with a A6 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, and an improved FaceTime camera at the front which would take better pictures and produce better video calls. The company has also confirmed that the device now carries even more LTE bands, which no other smartphone on the planet has in one single device. iPhone 5c will come pre-loaded with iOS 7, which is officially launching to the public on September 18th. And as you’d expect, the iPhone 5c owners will get the iWork suite for free from Apple.
The iPhone 5c also comes with some interesting Addons like the cases from Apple, which are specifically designed for the iPhone 5c. The device is available for pre-order starting this Friday and will start shipping on September 20th to the customers. There’s not word yet on iPhone 5s.
