Amazon launches Kindle Fire HDX. A lighter, faster Kindle Fire HD with 24×7 Live Support.

Amazon today refreshed its tablet line-up with the new set of devices called the Kindle Fire HDX. The HDX comes with a significant feature improvements like faster processor, lighter design and an amazing 24×7 live support from Amazon to help you do things with the Kindle Fire HDX.

Kindle Fire HDX comes with a 7-inch and 8.9-inch screen which now has more pixels per inch than the latest iPad which is available in the market. This makes the Kindle Fire HDX the tablet with the best display currently available.

One of the most important feature that Amazon is promoting is the new MayDay feature. The new feature comes in as a button which people can just tap to connect them with the Amazon support people for a live chat. The representative will be displayed in a tiny video window on the screen. This is not all, the best is that the representative will be able to control the tablet remotely.

The MayDay feature will be super helpful for those who are new to using Kindle Fire HDX. According to the CEO, Jeff Bezos, the MayDay feature is completely unique and it takes advantage of the company’s cloud computing and consumer service infrastructure.

This new feature will affect the user in a really positive way. As Jeff believes, the features like MayDay will take off the fear the users have in using the device.

While this feature has been much talked about in Kindle Fire HDX, there’s more to this device. Amazon has managed to get an all-day battery life for the Kindle Fire HDX. The company says that the battery can stand for upto 11 hours of regular usage and also offers about 17 hours of reading time.

The 7-inch Kindle HDX starts at $299 for the 16GB model and $329 for the LTE model. The 8.9-inch HDX comes with a $349 price tag for the WiFi only model, and $479 for the LTE version. Amazon is also offering a lot of upgrade pricing for the new line-up, and you can get some information about it here.

Amazon has already begun pre-orders for this device, and the 7-inch WiFi-only model starts shipping from October 15th.
