Ubuntu Edge fails to raise adequate funds. Falls short by $19 million.

We all knew that it was a very ambitious fundraiser. And many believed that the campaign will not work. As they expected, the campaign did not complete its goal. The Verge reports:

…As it turns out, that goal was a little too ambitious, as the campaign has wrapped up nearly $20 million short. After 30 days, Canonical was able to raise just over $12.8 million from more than 27,000 backers.

If you’re not aware of what Ubuntu Edge is, then, here are some details about the device:

In the car industry, Formula 1 provides a commercial testbed for cutting-edge technologies. A pioneering project that accelerates the adoption of new technologies and drives them down into the mainstream.
