If you are one of the Google Glass Explorers, and if you were finding it difficult to browse and watch videos on Google Glass, then here’s a native app for that.
Andres Calvo, a Google Glass Explorer and developer, has come up with an app called Glass Movie Player. The app lets you browse and play videos on your Glass, which could either be the videos which you shot using Google Glass or videos you’ve stored.
The app uses the default Glass Media Library to fetch all the videos that are available in the device, and then, it wraps up in a neat video browser interface from the App. If you need to watch a video, you should first upload it to your Glass, and then then videos will automatically show up in the Glass Movie Player app.
The app would be super useful when you’re on a threadmill, like the developer of the app said. While I’m not sure what video formats Glass would play right now in this app, I could see a huge use case for this app, except that it would be distracting the user in some cases.
The project is available on Github and if you are a developer, go fork it and improve the project. 🙂
