You can now emulate Google’s Chromecast on your PC. Thanks to a new project called Leapcast, which is based on Python for making this happen.
While I’m still debating if I should get a Chromecast for my home, and a lot of my friends are still evaluating the device, a developer has open sourced a tool which emulates the Chromecast on your PC. The project is titled Leapcast and is available on Github.
I think this would open up a lot of new opportunities for the developers to build apps for Chromecast and also to enable hacks like integrating this with XBMC and such applications for the desktops.
