Riptide GP 2, the game that features some of the newest features of Google Play Gaming Services just went live on the Google Play Store for $2.99.
During this year’s I/O, there was a special stall which demoed the seamless ability of the newly launched Google Play Gaming Services. And the game which was used during the demo was Riptide GP 2. Me and Raveesh, got our hands-on with the game at The Moscone Center, competing with each other and we were amazed by the seamless ability of the Play Services to make the user forget that they’re far away from each other.
This watercross-racing game includes an online profile for the user, which has been implemented using the Google+ Sign-in API, and once you’re signed-in into your Google+ account, you can compete with your friends on Google+ right from within the app. Once you tap on your friend’s name, he/she would be notified about your invite in the Riptide GP 2 app, and when they accept your invitation, it just takes a few seconds to synchronize, and boom, you’re into the game and you’re competing with each other.
This is probably the best-synced multi-player game I’ve seen on a mobile device, and thanks to the super fast Google Play Gaming services. Here’s a screenshot of me competing with Raveesh 0n Riptide GP 2:
For now, you can spend $2.99 on the Google Play Store to get this game and have some real-time fun with your friends over the internet. I might come up with the review pretty soon. Just hit the source link to download the game.
