Foxconn has revealed that it is working on a smart watch which works seamlessly with Apple’s iPhone. The reason its creating buzz is that the company provides almost all of the hardware to Apple for its iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
It was recently that Sony unveiled the Smartwatch 2 at MEA 2013 in Shangai. Next, the rumors of Samsung and Google working on a smart watch of their own are starting to surface everywhere. Now, it is Foxconn, the company we never really thought would talk about producing its own smartwactch that works seamlessly with Apple’s iPhone.
The news came out in the shareholders meeting that Foxconn held. The company’s chairman explained some of the features of this unnamed smart watch. The device records the users’ heart beat rate, respiration, check for any updates from your friends on Facebook and help you manage the phone calls using a cell phone, which would be iPhone at this point of time.
“With such a device, you can keep your phone in your pocket and simply check all kinds of messages on your watch,” Hon Hai chairman Terry Gou said.
According to the reports, these are just some of the features that the company has completed its work on. But they’re working on additional features to make this smart watch even smarter and aims at putting this on every users’ wrist.
This is probably the first time the company is getting into making its own products and we now know another source of income Foxconn is aiming to have.
Foxconn is also known as Hon Hai. The news that they’re working on their own smart watch came to us as a surprise.
