Google has pushed an update to its Google+ for Android app today, and has interestingly named it 42, since it now has 42 new features in it.
Google, at this year’s I/O announced some huge improvements to its Google+ Platform, with auto-enhance features for pictures and a completely new Timeline view. And now, the company is releasing an app update for the Android devices, which is pretty awesome, and brings almost all the features that the web app does.
The company also reveals that the new update focuses on bringing some update to edit and enhance pictures in a easier way on the mobile device. And we pretty much have to thank Google’s acquisition of Snapseed.
Let’s jump right into the official changelog for the new Google+ for Android:
- Auto Backup, to safely and privately store your photos as you snap them
- Auto Highlight, to browse a selection of top shots from every set of photos you add
- Auto Enhance, to make subtle improvements to the people and places in your images, automatically
- Auto Awesome, to create fun new versions of your pictures (like animations and panoramas) based on the photos in your library
The app update also brings in some new features to the location sharing setting, giving you better control over the people with whom you share the location. Here’s where you could get the app downloading on your Android device.
