Windows 8 behind bad PC sales last Quarter

An interesting article by WSJ states that the cause for the slow PC sales is the newly released Windows 8. And the drop is at the rate of 14% in the first quarter. I also read another interesting article by the long-term Windows user, Uzair Ghani, who’s ditching Windows for Mac.

Talking about the slower PC sales, here’s what Bob O’Donnell, IDC Program VP Clients and Displays said to WSJ:

“At this point, unfortunately, it seems clear that the Windows 8 launch not only failed to provide a positive boost to the PC market, but appears to have slowed the market,”

Bad time for Windows 8. Looks like the BOLD move did not go in their favor.
