A quick help on how you could update your apps that you purchased in a different country.
Here’s the scenario. I have two accounts, the Indian App Store and the US App Store account. And my iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, iMac and MacBook Pro, all run on the US account primarily. But there are some apps that I purchased in the Indian App Store account, which are running on these devices. But when there’s an update to these apps, things get messy. But not anymore.
Update apps that you purchased in a different country on iTunes:
This is applicable for both on the device, as well as on the desktops (Macs or PCs)
- Log out your iTunes Store Account.
- Now, check for the App Updates. (On iDevice, go to the App Store app, and tap on Updates)
- When all the app updates are listed, just tap Update All or you can even tap Update for a single app.
- The iTunes Store will ask for your login credentials.
- If the app was purchased in say, Indian App Store, then just enter the credentials for your iTunes Store account.
This might be a little annoying, but still, it just works. There are a lot of requests for Apple to allow users to integrate or combine two accounts into one single account, but there’s no hear from the company about this fix.
Hope this helps!
