Google Glass apps are starting to popup on the internet, and here’s the first from the collection. This app would allow you to send photos shot with Google Glass directly to your Google Drive in a Folder.
Google Glass is just for the Explorers now, but then, some of the explorer edition Glass owners have already started working on developing apps for it, at least to satisfy their needs. While I’m currently working on an app that would help the Google IO attendees keep track of their schedules and sessions, I’m also building a small library that would collect all the new Google Glass Apps in one single place on Geek Center. But now, Jay Lee has developed this unnamed app, which would let you share and send your Google Glass photos to Google Drive in a Folder named Google Glass.
Here’s how to get the app on your Google Glass:
- Use your Google Account to login and authorize this URL, Go to https://jay-glass-demo.appspot.com/
- Once authorized, just go to https://glass.google.com/myglass/share
- Now, search for: Google Drive Image Upload
- Turn on the Sharing for this app.
- And that is it. Now, whenever you take a picture using your Google Glass, Google Drive Image Upload will popup as an option.
You will now be able to find the pictures which you shared in your Google Drive under the Folder, Glass Photos.
This is how simple the app installations are going to be on Google Glass. To uninstall an App on Google Glass, just unauthorize the app from your Google account that is associated with your Glass. In the meantime, what would you like the Google Glass App Directory to be called as?
Tip: Incase you’re wondering how the Menu options work, here’s a neat video explaining it.
