So there’s actually a way to put your MacBook Pro or any Mac in Airplane mode. But all you need to do is just to follow some of the steps mentioned below, and boom, you’re done.
I’ve been traveling to a lot of places recently for some events, and sometimes, the flying times are too long that I turn up my MacBook to code. And this question has always been existing in my mind about enabling Airplane mode on MacBook Pro. Thanks to a thread on Stack Exchange. There seems to be a way to do this.
Understanding Airplane mode:
Airplane mode is nothing but disabling all your networking signals, so that it does not interfere with the aircraft’s navigation and communication system. The technology for solving this issue is spreading slowly across the world, and Delta is one such example, which offers’ GoGo’s in-flight WiFi systems.
So here, in this hack, we’re just going to create a setting, which will disable all the networking signals emitting from the Mac machine.

The steps are pretty simple. Here’s a video demo of how to enable Airplane mode on your Mac OS X, running on MacBook Pro or MacBook Air.
