Show Message Alerts only from your Contacts on your iPhone

Here’s a quick tutorial to display alerts for new messages only from your contacts in your Address Book on your iPhone.

There are situations where your iMessage ID gets leaked or goes into the hands of some random human. In such cases, there are chances that you receive messages from numerous people to whom you don’t want to respond immediately.

In my case, I use iMessage pretty often for both personal and professional purpose. And I get a lot of iMessages from people who are not on the contact list. But thanks to iOS for providing a quick and easy option to display (Alert) the messages that are from the people who are in your Contact list.

Let me now tell you how to do that.

Show Message Alerts only from your Contacts on iPhone:

  1. Open Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Now, Tap on Notifications tabimessage from contacts only-1
  3. Choose Messages under the Notifications imessage from contacts only-2
  4. Now, Scroll down to the bottom and tap on the option, My Contacts Only.
  5. That’s it! You’re done!

Hope this helps!
