Facebook redesigns News Feed. Says Goodbye to clutter, Forever.

The change is always happening with Facebook, and this time, for good. The world’s largest social network, Facebook has finally revealed an uncluttered version of their News Feed, which shows all the happening in one single page and now, in a very beautiful way.

Facebook admitted it finally, that their current news feed is really very cluttered and does not use all the real-estate that’s available on the screen. But they did not accept it without a reason. They had something which is really new to show to the public. And that is the revamped News Feed for the users on the social network.

Talking about the new News Feed, Facebook says that it was like Spring Cleaning their News Feed for its users to make it even more usable and also to bring a unified experience across different platforms. Starting with the new News Feed, the photos are going to play an important role in beautifying the user experience, since the company considered it to be the most popular way to interact with.

Right from the thumbnails to the user pictures, everything has received a major update with this release. Now, the actions that our Friends perform are even more visible, and thank Facebook for moving the sidebar to the left, and bringing in a really neat way to hide it whenever unnecessary. Say that a friend of yours’ is sharing something on Facebook. It is going to put the action right in front of you on your News Feed, without cluttering.

But there’s something which is really new towards the right, which has now replaced the sidebar. It is the ability to filter out the actions performed by your friends. You can now choose what kind of news you’d want in your News Feed, instead of letting Facebook decide it for you.

Facebook has also revealed that it was the mobile devices and its ease of use which inspired them to zero down on this design. Interestingly, the company has promised to roll out the changes to all the users in the coming weeks, and the new News Feed is now rolling out to everyone slowly. Here’s the entire video that Facebook has made for the new News Feed:
