HP debuts its $330 Chromebook. Calls it HP Pavilion 14

HP is now following the lead of Samsung, Acer and Lenovo, who are already into this Chromebook segment. The company today debuted its own Chromebook with some compelling configurations and storage options for those who are connected to the internet always, and use their machines for document editing.

HP Pavilion 14 is the name the new Chromebook from the Company carries, and the device has got some pretty good configuration. Let us give you an overview of the HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook’s Configuration now:

 HP Pavilion 14 Configuration
Operating System Chrome OS
Display 11.6-inch or 14-inch Display
Resolution 1366×768
Storage 16GB SSD (16GB Flash Included)
Processor 1.1GHz Celeron
RAM 2GB
Graphics Intel HD (Integrated Graphics)
Ports 3 USB2.0, Ethernet (RJ45), 1 HDMI
Battery Life 4 Hours 15 Minutes

The design of the device looks pretty old, but then, the other specs are impressive for a Chromebook, other than the battery life. HP’s Competitors in the Chromebook segment have really good battery life, but we think the devices’ battery life is really poor. A user would indeed get a Tablet if he really cares about the battery life. The netbooks are meant to be having a longer battery life than the regular laptops. Infact, they are netbooks, used to connect and work over the Internet.

The device is now available for purchase from the US Retailers and also directly from HP. The HP Pavilion 14 would burn $329.99 from your pockets, and would also cost you even more for an extended battery.
