Hike Messenger has already flown to No. 1 in Indian AppStore. Earlier today, I tweeted about Hike making it big by being only next to Temple Run 2 under free apps in Indian Appstore. Less than 6 hours, the creator of Hike – Kavin, tweeted me about the position moving to the No #1 spot which is quiet impressive as it shows the massive adoption with iPhone users in India.
Hike has been a tough competitor of popular instant messaging apps WhatsApp, Viber and Line lately and with the strong focus in user experience, the Hike team have made it highly adoptable among smartphone users. Hike is now our main communication tool internally at 4CAST and the free text message gives the extra edge in connecting users without smartphone and for those who feel texting is an expensive affair. With their recent announcement of Hike Rewards and plans of v2 of the app to include adding people using PIN (think BlackBerry PIN), it only goes on to show that the team behind Hike are brewing the code 24×7 to keep the users excited about what’s in store for future releases.
If you haven’t heard or given Hike a try, you should do it now. Hike is available for iPhone, Android, Windows and Ovi. To read more about Hike Messenger, visit get.hike.in
