Mega launches with ‘never seen before’ response from users. Kim’s Happy now.

Mega.co.nz has launched and Kim Dotcom has no reason to be unhappy. The service has launched on the exact same date and time when the Megaupload service was forcefully shut down last year.

Kim Dotcom announced recently that his new service, that would be hard for anyone to shut the new service down, and as promised, he has launched the service. Kim started the spark with a simple tweet mentioning Barack Obama, and then after 15 minutes, he hit the Go button, and the rest ir turning out to be history.

The new storage service is all set to compete with services like Dropbox and Google Drive, which offers extra storage at a higher price points. But the new Mega offers 500GB of storage space for just $9.99 per month. And this extends upto 4TB of cloud data. Kim has also revealed that he would be bringing in both mobile and desktop apps for the users, and believe me this would be a huge blow for services like Dropbox.

Kim has also hinted about his new Movie service, and there’s no clue on when the service would launch. And it would take even months for a perfectionist like Kim Dotcom. We’ll keep you posted.
