Jerry McDougal steps down as VP or Retail at Apple.

Apple has confirmed that the company’s Jerry McDougal has stepped down as the Vice President of Retail division, and the position is still vacant. The confirmation came today from one of the Apple’s spokesperson to AllThingsD.

Jerry McDougal, who has been with Apple for over 12 years, is now making a move to concentrate on his family life. Apple today confirmed this news to AllThingsD via a Spokesperson, who said:

“Retail has an incredibly strong network of leaders at the store and regional level, and they will continue the excellent work they’ve done over the past decade to revolutionize retailing with unique, innovative services and a focus on the customer that is second to none,” Apple spokesman Steve Dowling said. “Jim Bean is moving to Retail to help support our store teams. Jim has been at Apple for 15 years and is a great leader who understands our culture and focus on customer service.”

The place is still vacant, and Apple also hinted that Jim Bean, VP of Finance would move on to take the place of Jerry. While last year saw some of the major changes in Apple’s management, this year, let’s expect that the company holds true to its roots, and breathes the same passion they have been carrying earlier.

Personally: Personally, I feel that all these management changes are completely fine, until the one who replaces these positions are those who’ve been working with Apple for some longer period of time, instead of pulling in someone who is new to Apple, and making them understand the true spirits of the company, would definitely be a tough task.
