“iPhone 5S” expected to feature ‘Touch on Display’, come in multiple colours

Apple mill, the rumour mill that never sleeps, suggests that we could be getting the next iPhone earlier than usual. The “iPhone 5S” is reported to have multiple colour options along with a new improved screen.

Breaking tradition from its September release date, Apple is believed to be switching back to it’s June release schedule. The next iPhone (iPhone 5S in the court of public opinion) is expected to be an iterative release. The phone will most likely receive a speed bump and possibly an improved camera.

Despite having released brand new in-cell technology screens Apple is reportedly working on ‘Touch on Display’ technology for it’s next phone. As marvelous as in-cell technology is problems with the recognition of rapid diagonal swiping have been reported hence forcing Apple to look out for better designs.

Unexpectedly Chinese publications believe that Apple will launch the iPhone in more than one colour. Introducing the iPod Touch in multiple colours served as a testing ground for Apple and the company is now prepared to offer the iPhone in as many as 8 colours.

It is still pretty early so it’s best to take these reports with a grain of salt.
