Instagram today revealed that the mobile photo sharing service now has more than 90M monthly active users, 40 million photos are being posted to the service every single day and 8,500 photo likes per second.
Facebook acquired Instagram quietly a few months back, and there has seriously been no major change in the way the service works. The coolest online photo sharing service today revealed that they have got a user base of over 90 million per month, on their Press Page. This is not all, interestingly, the service also revealed some more information like the number of likes given to the photos per second and also the number of photos that are being uploaded per day onto the service.
The $1billion acquisition by Facebook is proving to be having a positive effect on the service, and the user base has exponentially grown after the acquisition. Also, on the other side, the service also received a huge blow, when the people behind the service revealed the changes in their ToS. After the blow, the service reportedly lost about 4 million users, according to the AppData.
Despite all the odds the service faced late last year, the users seem to be liking the service for what it has been so far. And the 90M active users a month is a huge user base for any service that exists today.
