Anonymous responds to Aaron Swartz’s death. Hacks into Government website and Threatens Warheads.

Anonymous today declared war on The United States Government by hacking into the United States Sentencing Service website, threatening them of exposing sensitive information and also with warheads, which they claim to have distributed silently across the world.

“Two weeks ago today, a line was crossed. Two weeks ago today, Aaron Swartz was killed. Killed because he faced an impossible choice. Killed because he was forced into playing a game he could not win — a twisted and distorted perversion of justice — a game where the only winning move was not to play.”

This is how strong the words in the video have been framed. Anonymous, the world’s most powerful hacker group, which does not have a leader or a particular place, has declared war on the US Government, following the death of Aaron Swartz.

The hacker group is claiming to have successfully deployed a code-based warheads, that could be initiated anytime now, and also claims that the warheads have been distributed across the world, silently.

The USSS website is back up now after getting their front page hacked, but here’s the video that Anonymous posted on the front page along with the text transcript of the lines in the video:

Anonymous claims to have successfully removed all the traces of hacking from various systems, and have successfully deployed warheads on various websites. The group also revealed that they’re all set to expose some sensitive data which they acquired from the recent hack. But ask them if they’d reveal some more information about the information which they’ve got with them, here’s what the video says:

The contents are various and we won’t ruin the speculation by revealing them. Suffice it to say, everyone has secrets, and some things are not meant to be public. At a regular interval commencing today, we will choose one media outlet and supply them with heavily redacted partial contents of the file. Any media outlets wishing to be eligible for this program must include within their reporting a means of secure communications.

For now, this is all that we know about this operation against the US Government. We’re going to be waiting until the hacker group makes its next move against the Government.
